With 11 years of playing experience & 12 years of coaching experience (boys & girls), François René is currently in his fifth year as the head coach of the women’s division 1 program at Vanier College (CCAA). After completing his Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from McGill University, he went on to graduate from Gonzaga University with a Master’s degree in Athletics Administration.
François was part of the NEXT mentorship program with Drew Hanlen of Pure Sweat Basketball, where he took part in different workouts in Los Angeles and Toronto with NBA players, including Jason Tatum, RJ Barrett, Mo Bamba, Jordan Clarkson, Bradley Beal, etc.. He now offers team training, skills academies, team clinics and semi-private workouts in the Montreal area and the east coast of Canada.
Throughout his coaching career, his focus has always been on total skills development. His objective is to help players achieve their full potential through intense, but smart and purposeful workouts.
